Do I want it COLD, or do I want it HOT? Well, that is my question of the day.
I enjoy my banana pudding cold. If I will take it one step further, there was also a time that I would eat only boxed vanilla pudding and not “homemade” pudding. YIKES! I said it out loud. I know, I know, do not judge me. To give you a little back story, I grew up eating a LOOOOOTTTTT of “instant” banana pudding. Remember how I mentioned that I started cooking for a lot of people when I was young? Well, those people were mostly teenagers and the last thing they wanted when they came in for lunch was ~HOT~ banana pudding. And believe me, they did not mind expressing it either. Oh, the trauma…. I endured. But thankfully, Mom had showed me how to make a huge bowl of vanilla pudding that was filled with bananas and Nilla Wafers. I made it early that morning and jammed it in the fridge and by lunchtime, it was ice cold. Those young’ins lapped it up like they were starved – and I was right there with them. I will always love ice cold, “instant” banana pudding.
But, when there is no “instant” in the house and you are wanting a banana pudding really quick, this one fits the bill. It comes together easily and after its made, it only needs a little chilling before diving in.
